Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring network security, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance to support business operations. This role requires a strong understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and security best practices.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers
Monitor network performance, security, and availability, implementing solutions to optimize efficiency
Troubleshoot network issues, resolve outages, and ensure minimal downtime
Manage and configure VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networks for secure and efficient connectivity
Maintain network security by implementing and enforcing policies, firewalls, and access controls
Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity
Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to support infrastructure needs
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Stay updated with the latest trends, threats, and technologies in network security and administration
Interact with hardware, software, and Internet Service Providers to facilitate repairs of networking hardware and voice and data networks
Utilize our ticketing system to manage and respond to trouble tickets and requests submitted by staff or other I.T. team members
Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
Hands-on experience with network security and firewall configurations
Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, HP, Aruba, or other similar networking equipment
Experience with cloud networking platforms such as Azure
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Network+, etc.) are a plus
Skills Desired, but Not Required:
Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
Windows and Mac desktop support
iOS and Android Device Support
Microsoft Power Automate
Microsoft Power BI
