Part-Time Childcare Coordinator - Midtown Campus

Department: Midtown Campus
Location: Little Rock, AR

Position Summary:

The Childcare Coordinator is responsible for leadership over assigned childcare events. This role will work closely under the leadership of the Childcare Director and Kids Pastor to oversee the discipleship of children and teachers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Take ownership, lead, and execute designated childcare events
  • Plan teacher and classroom schedules
  • Assist in recruiting workers
  • Able to communicate with parents and childcare workers in a professional manner
  • Maintain awareness of how each event functions
  • Recruit, interview, and hire childcare teachers through Fellowship’s onboarding process
  • Attend weekly Midtown staff meetings and work closely with the staff to determine the needs of each staff’s requests
  • Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Some college preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • A heart for children and parents
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Computer experience required
  • Lead Childcare for Fellowship on Wednesday mornings and various Sunday night D-Group events
  • Work with Kids Pastor to oversee childcare workers on Sunday mornings
  • Able to solve problems with childcare issues including getting substitutes for classes at the last minute.
  • Able to commit to approximately 15 hours a week with the anticipation that hours will grow as ministry needs increase. (Summer responsibilities will be minimal and as needed)
  • Ability to organize special needs childcare when needed
  • Ability to encourage staff
  • Relational with staff, parents, and children
  • Lead Wednesday night childcare for Fellowship when needed
  • Lead/assist with other special childcare events when needed
  • Ability to solve problems with childcare issues including getting substitutes for classes last minute

  • If not a member of Fellowship Bible Church, will commit to going through the membership process
  • Regular involvement in Fellowship Bible Church activities and events
  • Signed acknowledgement of Fellowship Bible Church’s “Confession of Faith” form
  • Signed acknowledgement to policies and procedures as stated in Fellowship Bible Church’s Employee Manual
  • Living out the spiritual principles outlined in the “Code of Conduct”

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Work Schedule:

  • Sunday evenings as needed for D-Groups
  • Tuesdays 8:00am-2:00pm
  • Wednesday mornings 8:00am-12:00pm
  • As events increase, so will responsibilities and hours (most likely Wednesday evening events, once implemented)
